What does 'Vamsi Gaadi Gola' mean? Vamsi's chatter (that's the best I could get to; telugu people can suggest better, and more interesting, translations). And the title of the post - Aadi - means 'beginning'.

That sorted out, I feel I should tell right away what this blog is about. In short, it is about anything I feel to write about! For now, I can think of things like: nifty programs that I find useful as a biochemist, my experience with linux and opensource (I prefer freeware) software in general, etc. I have no fixed plan. So, there is no theme and I can (and will) write about anything.
